President – Carolyn McQuiqq

Pleased to serve on the Swartz Creek Chamber Board, to be involved in helping the businesses in Swartz Creek thrive and multiply. I have spent the past 12 years as a part of our Chamber either as an Ambassador or Board Member.  I have had the pleasure the last few years of being the Event Coordinator for the luncheons, evening events and ribbon cuttings. I have lived in many areas of Genesee County my whole life and can say there is no where I would rather be.  My husband Larry and I have lived in Flushing for the past 35 years together.  Being involved in the community through the Chamber in both Swartz Creek and Flushing.

I joined the Chambers to help grow my Real Estate Career through Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Michigan Real Estate. I have been doing this awesome “job” since January of 1999. Supporting homeowners in the pursue of their perfect home.

Before Real Estate I graduated from Grand Blanc High School attended MCC and University of Michigan. Graduating with a degree in Drafting and Design with a Business Minor.

I have also had the privilege of being a member of the Flushing Frozen 40 Snowmobile Club since 1994. I have served as the Secretary for the past 25 years. I have also been member of the Flushing Women’s Club for the past 14 years of which the past 12 years I have Chaired the Annual Craft Bazaar at the High School in November. I discovered Networking through the Swartz Creek BNI 13 years ago. Recently we changed our group to a Nonprofit which has the ability to support local charities with yearly donations. So awesome. I have realized that we can make a difference in our community if we just care too.

Vice President – David J Mayers

Excited to serve as Vice President of the chamber.  I have been a member of the Swartz Creek Chamber for 12 years and have served on different board and committees helping make the chamber better.  I believe if you have a business in the area you should give back with your time and involvement.   My business, DJ Mayers Computer Repair, is located just West of Swartz Creek, South of Lennon. I am on my 3^rd term serving on the Village of Lennon Council.   I also serve as Chairman of the Village of Lennon Volunteers and as President of Table Talk Networking Group. I am also the Treasurer of Grace Lutheran in Durand and Chairman of the DPW.  I’m married to Terri. I have a Daughter, Lani who is an Officer in the Navy, Son, Jon that helps my run the Computer business.  Son Jake that works in construction.  Granddaughter Alison.

Excited to serve on the chamber to assist in helping Swartz Creek and the surrounding area to grow and become more attractive to families to relocate, settle and raise their family.  Swartz Creek has always been my hometown, and I am proud to say I am a Dragon! Married to Kathy, 32 years.
